Move Your Home to San Francisco, Without Moving

... Or anywhere else for that matter.  Wiimote hacks seem to abound these days, but this one is especially fun.  AND I love the demonstration at about 1:04 into the video.  I just hate that you have to wear a giant necklace to make it work..

Phillips Daylight Window Concept

I shared this with some of you a few years ago, but it keeps coming up in conversation, so I figured I might as well post it again. It really is an awesome piece of technology. A window with which you can use gestures to affect what is displayed on the window. Thoughts on how this works? Is it merely a projector shining through a window? Is the window actually creating semi-opaque images that create shadows on the floor? More likely the first, but still a neat idea. Imagine though, if it actually could create semi-opaque pre-programmed images. We would be able to have patterns in lekos with life-like animated movement.

Touchable Holograms

Japanese scientists have created a touchable hologram system utilizing Wiimotes.  In the past few years there have been a number of hacks involving the Wiimote for 3D visualization, but none have allowed your hands to directly interact with lasers in this way.
